[F2-221] Always "Operation Failed". Cannot eject disk. Disk disappeared afer 'creating new storage pool 30%'. What do.

Post by dianzisongyang »

Hello.

I have F2-221. OK for a long time. Disks are in single-disk mode, 2 SSDs. One enterprise 4tb NAS disk OK. Second disk was 480GB old Intel SSD for editing scratch disk.

I found a good deal on another 2TB SSD. I purchased it, I will replace the 480GB SSD.

In system, trying to delete pool, erase SSD, or eject, I get "Operation Failed" message.

I turned system off, removed that SSD. Inserted the new SSD. TOS detected SSD OK. Create new storage pool, formatting at 30%, then the SSD disappeared from pools.

Hard Disk shows the SSD. Pool cannot create new pool or new volume. I cannot eject the SSD. Always "Operation Failed".

I want to add the new 2TB SSD as a new pool and volume. How can I do this? SSH?

What version is your system?
If you encounter failure to create a storage pool, please remove your disk first, then restart your device, then format the disk on another device, reinsert it, and create it again. At the same time, please check whether your hard disk is on the compatibility list.
