Following answer from chatGPT
To read the time zone in Firefox, you can follow these steps:
1. **Open Firefox:**
Start by opening the Firefox web browser on your computer or device.
2. **Access Settings:**
Click on the menu button (three horizontal lines) located in the upper-right corner of the Firefox window. This will open a drop-down menu.
3. **Open Preferences/Options:**
In the drop-down menu, click on "Preferences" (on macOS) or "Options" (on Windows or Linux). This will open the Firefox Preferences or Options page.
4. **Navigate to General Settings:**
On the left-hand side of the Preferences/Options page, you'll see a list of categories. Click on the "General" category to open the General settings.
5. **Find Time Zone Information:**
Scroll down the General settings until you find the "Language and Appearance" section. Here, you'll see an option labeled "Time Zone."
6. **View Time Zone:**
The Time Zone setting will display the current time zone that Firefox is using. It typically shows the name of the time zone (e.g., "Eastern Standard Time," "Pacific Time," etc.) along with the UTC offset.
7. **Adjust Time Zone (Optional):**
If you need to change the time zone that Firefox is using, you can click on the "Choose..." button next to the Time Zone setting. This will allow you to select a different time zone from the list provided.
That's it! You can now view and, if necessary, adjust the time zone settings in Firefox. These steps are based on the desktop version of Firefox; the process may vary slightly for mobile versions or different browser versions.

Re: TOS should prompt for Language and Time Zone upon initalisation
This is unrelated. We have indeed received a few reports about incorrect time zone issues, but 99.99% of the users have not reported similar problems. We need to rule out whether the browser has obtained the correct time zone.

Re: TOS should prompt for Language and Time Zone upon initalisation
I would almost say that Firefox no longer has a time zone to select in the current versions, because I can't find it with the chatGPT variant, let alone when I enter "Zeit" or "Time" in the settings search.TMroy wrote: ↑22 Apr 2024, 09:41Following answer from chatGPT

The only thing I get is this "Use operating system settings for "Einstellungen des Betriebssystems für "Deutsch (Deutschland)" verwenden, um Datum, Uhrzeit, Zahlen und Maßeinheiten zu formatieren."
and no more.
