TOS4 & TOS5 and UPS

Post by Gandalf1369 »

On my local network I have one F4-220 and one F5-221 along with an Unraid server. The F4-220 is running TOS 5.1.123 and the F5-221 is running TOS 4.2.40.

I have purchased a CyberPower UPS model CP1000AVRLCDa and connected via USB to the Unraid server. I have also installed the NUT plug-in and everything appears to be working properly.

I then tried to get the F5-221 to see the UPS and was successful (I think!). Here's a screenshot:

However, when I try to set up the F4-220 the same way it fails to connect to the UPS. Here's a screenshot:

Anyone have any idea why connecting to the UPS in TOS4 appears to work correctly but not in TOS5 ??

Thanks for any help . . .

Did you click "Apply"? Is there any error prompt?

Yes - I did click "Apply".

The error message flashes by extremely quick. All it says is "Cannot connect to server. Check IP address and make sure it is on".

If you can ssh onto that unit,

Code: Select all

dmesg
may be able to show that message.

This may be a UI problem from the old version. Please clear the browser cache, reopen the control panel module, reselect "tnas UPS server", fill in the IP, and then confirm again.

No luck. Cleared the browser cache and tried again. Still can't connect in TOS 5. Also tried a totally different browser and still can't connect.
