The tools are so detailed. I'm also looking for a replacement Ram. Really fits my problem.

I recently bought 16 GB x 2 RAM modules (32GB) for my F4-423 and my NAS runs fine. RAM upgrades for these NAS's seems to be very tricky experience so I thought I'd share my experience. I also spoke to Terramaster via chat and they confirmed that RAM is not brand locked (I hope this never changes!).

For anyone interested, I bought some 16GB (x 2) Timetec Hynix IC DDR4 2666MHz PC4-21300 Unbuffered Non-ECC 1.2V CL19 2Rx8 Dual Rank 260 Pin SODIMM Laptop ram.

You can probably buy better ones but this was in my budget at £30 per module and most importantly compatible and fully functional! Performance wise I am impressed - I'm running a couple of 8GB Windows VM's in Virtualbox which boot up within 10 seconds or less.

My setup is F4-423 32GB RAM, 2 drives - 240GB pny SSD + Crucial gen3 2TB NMVE m2 (used as a regular drive and not for caching).
