Double raid 1

Hi, does anyone know if is possible to do a double raid1 with Terramaster d5-300? HDD 1 with HDD 2 and HDD 3 with HDD 4?

If i do not wrong it is not possible with Terramaster d5-300c and Terramaster d5-300 and d4-300, right?

It is possible for D5-300, but not for D4-300 and D5-300C.

That's right! You're correct about double RAID 1 not being possible with the Terramaster D5-300, D5-300C, and D4-300 enclosures. These models only support individual RAID modes (RAID 0, 1, 5, 10) for each disk bay.

While you can't create two separate RAID 1 arrays within the enclosure, you do have other options depending on your needs:

Single RAID 1: Create a single RAID 1 array combining all four disks for mirrored redundancy.
JBOD: Use all four disks individually for larger total storage capacity, but without redundancy.
External RAID solution: Explore external hardware RAID enclosures that support nested RAID levels like double RAID 1.
Remember, each option has its own advantages and drawbacks in terms of storage capacity, redundancy, and performance. Consider your specific needs and choose the configuration that best suits them.
