Problem with the TOS store?

Post by Drestinnuttin »

Are the links from the store down? Not currently able to install anything on a TOS5.1.67 terramaster.

All install attempts result in a generic "Installation failed" message. The only change I see in the log files is a "ClamAV" entry in TOSDaemon.log

Please check if your NAS network connection is normal?

It's normal. The following video demonstrates no connectivity issue, using name resolution, from a remote ssh connection on the nas.

Can these apps be manually installed? Can I install these packages from the command line?
I am running kernel 4.19.165+

The GUI say's that I am current. I'm on TOS 5. https://www.loom.com/share/666ec8604e11 ... f81bb5b664

If there is a newer version, then please provide info regarding how to upgrade. No issue with array data as it's currently unused because of the store problem.

It seems your device is an old model and running 4.x previously, the reason could be your device is not able to run TOS 5.1.
Please follow the guidelines to reinstall your system to 5.0.176.

Yeah, this one is an f5-420 or f5-422. It has an upgraded USB to accommodate TOS 5.
I don’t recall whether I upgraded from 4 or went straight to 5 when I upgraded the USB, but will go through it again.

You haven’t said this but is the kernel for TOS 5 supposed to be 5.x?

That seems to have worked, Thank you.
Performed the following:
* powered off
* unplugged drives and unplugged 2nd NIC
* powered on
* launched desktop tool to "find" IP address
* logged in as root via ssh
* plugged 5 drives in.
* cleared partitions on sdb -> sdf using parted
* launched browser to download "TOS_X642.0_5.0.176_00227_2210111430.ins"
* logged into nas via browser
* selected custom install, tagged my five drives
* selected browse to choose "TOS_X642.0_5.0.176_00227_2210111430.ins"
* created local admin account, verified MFA code via email
* selected raid5
* formatted as BTRFS
* plugged in 2nd nic, configured bond
* updated to 5.1.67

kernel is now @ 5.15.59

What about TOS 6. Can I update to that when released, (I have plenty of space in /), or will I have to perform similar steps?

Based on known information, the storage structure of TOS5 can meet TOS6.
There should be no need to perform a hard disk reset again.
