Upgrading from 1 2 bay NAS to a 4 bay and moving exisitng drives

Post by philh77 »

Is it possible to upgrade from a 2 bay NAS ( F2--223) to a 4 bay and just transfer my existing drives to the new 4 bay without losing data. My drives are configured as JBOD and this will stay the same in the new NAS.

If your 4 bay NAS is not the old models with J1800/J3355/J3455 CPU, you can do like you say----just move the disks from F2-223 to new 4 bay released NAS model like F4-223/F4-423.
