I don't think anyone has asked you to test anything. You were offered means of achieving your aim. (either buy another disk for Traid or reconfigure your system with the attendant risks.) "Support" have also responded (thank you from me). I would suggest you do some reading on RAID arrays so to understand the limitations and capabilities. Also some advice: If you don't already have one, get a UPS to minimise the risk of disk corruption in the event of power failure.
