Cooling of the nvme drives

Post by trasmussen »

Hi,

Before i added heatsinks to the nvme drives in my F4-423 Nas, they would run crazy hot.
Challenge is the limited amount of space, but i found that these fit - glotrends M.2 Heatsink with M.2 Thermal Pad for 2280 M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD or M.2 SATA SSD, PC and PS5 Installation
They can found on Amazon and many other places and is only 10€.

Just wanted to share the info as i spent a long time trying to figure out what would fit.

Now my temps are low again :)

Hi, I just bought a Samsung SSD 980 PRO with heatsink and it works but it doesn't fit in the case. The F2-423 recognized the 2 TB drive.

The heatsink looks really nice but it is to thick.

Is this the heatsink you bought?

I am returning the drive and getting one without the heatsink, just want to make sure this one will fit.

Thanks
