Assuming you are then: by chance, have you tested overall TimeMachine support with various MacOS systems (particularly later ones)?
Is the very-long-awaited quota support for TimeMachine storage working? Is your NAS formatted as ext4 or btrfs?

Thanks for any information.

Re: TOS 5 Beta is released for testing NOW!
if the this version requires you to fresh install the system i.e no upgrade, why is there a requirement to have 4.2.09 or later?
just curious about this decision as surely a fresh install wouldnt care about the previous version?

In fact, it is related to the initboot system version of the TNAS. The old initboot system will cause TOS 5 installation failure. In addition, the initboot system will be updated with the TOS system update.sianderson wrote: ↑09 Mar 2022, 17:57 if the this version requires you to fresh install the system i.e no upgrade, why is there a requirement to have 4.2.09 or later?

I haven’t tested TOS with Time Machine, as I have a QNAP that has done TM for many years for me. (I’m on 12.3 (Dev beta, though this is the RC that will be pushed out soon). I’ll give it a go later and report back

Unfortunately i'm stuck on admin parameter setup after having fresh install new firmware 5.0 on my F2-221 , nothing move if I click on "next" button, even if I skip email code verification (I tested on linux, windows, firefox, chrome)
Something look corrupted... even after a reset start ( 2 HDD removed)
Additionally, TNAS PC doesn't launch on my windows 11 (and doesn't exist on linux yet), icon stay in the task bar but no windows appears
Is there something I can do ? don't worry I already lost everything with deadbolt, you can continue to ignore my pain, after all I'm just a customer that was fully satisfied until a recent cut-off point :(

Thanks!
Can you test what happens when the limit is reached (graceful fail on Mac side), maybe setting a much lower quota?
Is you TNAS formatted btrfs or ext4? Not sure quota limit works in both cases...
