The module work perfectly with TOS5 on F4-423, without any adaptation of the BIOS or other file.

On version TOS 5.1.13 Beta, as I understand it, the check is removed, so any memory works.

I changed modules when i bought device. It was TOS 4... Changed modules, used 4 TOS, then 5.0, now 5.1. Never had problems with memory restriction.

I am considering the desktop 6 bay NAS, have they officially removed the ram check so you can use any ram manufacturer or is it just for the BETA?

I will not be buying if its locking out other manufacturers and over pricing there own RAM..

It should clearly be marked on there advertisements and product page only officially allowed ram is terramaster ram..

Hello, which CPU model do you have? There are two different CPU models for the F4-423.Intel® Celeron® N5105/5095

N5105 has better compatibility

Thanks a lot for your sharing, I tried the crucial memory, but it failed. I will try G.Skill.
