F2-422 Power Up Issue

Post by PriestyUK »

Hi Everyone,

Woke up this morning and found my F2-422 powered off. Have noticed this a couple of times randomly but a power button push and bam she springs into life..... BUT not today, she beeps, fan starts up then you hear the HDD drives start to run up for about 1-2 secs then she powers off. Does this again but stops before HDD ramp up, then stops completely.

Removed HDD but does the same thing. Plugged in HDMI and can start logo and text of boot with bios/dos kind of text but it stops before it really gets going.

Power supply has a green light but it could have become faulty who knows, spoke with tech who just pointed me towards Amazon for a new power supply £60.... nice one. Ordered it so should be here tomorrow.

Here comes the question, photo attached of the power supply that came with my F2-422. Please note label says:

INPUT 100-240V
50-60Hz 1.5A

OUTPUT 12.0V
3.33A
39.96W Max

New Power Supply From Amazon TerraMaster Store:

INPUT 100-240V
50-60Hz
2.0A

OUTPUT 12V
7.0A
84W Max

So why was my orginal power supply a lower supply input & output?

I hope this fixes it as this is hurting my work wise with the down time :(
