F4-421 constant disk noise after initial synchro

Post by rafasturies »

After the raid 5 initial synchro, and without using the NAS, the disks are continously making noise, like if something is writing all the time on them.
Nothing or no one is using the disks. The disks are new ones, and they are four Seagate IronWolf, 4 TB, NAS as Terramaster recommends. Why is my NAS making this this noise continously?

For the newly set file system, it will take about 24 to 48 hours to do journal and balance for the btrfs file system, it will take about 12 to 24 hours to do lazy initialization for the ext 4 file system, during this time, your drive will not able to hibernate. The actual time required depends on the drive capacity. Please refer to this link to get more information viewtopic.php?f=75&t=473

Hello,

After 36 hours of init, and after the copy of 3TB on the NAS, the noise is there and it's continous. It seems like something is writting all the time. The disks are scratching all the time. No pause, 36 hours scrathing.
