Hi,
I noticed my F4-220 was very loud a couple of weeks ago, and when I tried to connect it wasn't responding. I powered off, but now when I try powering on again, I can't connect. The power light is green, the 4 disk lights are red, whether they are plugged in or not, and the Lan light does not come on.
I have tried to reinstall TOS from a USB stick manually using the "./make_install bzImage..." procedure, but that doesn't seem to do anything.
Can I assume that the hardware has failed completely and I have lost everything?

Hi,
Are you unable to see the device on the TNAS PC when you plug in the USB boot?
Are you still unable to log in after reinstalling the system?
Can the device be found through the TNAS PC after reinstallation?
Are you unable to use the TNAS PC to find the device and plug in a USB boot?
You can try to install an old TOS version first after inserting the USB to boot, if you can log in, unplug the USB and then update the system

Hi,
I can't see TNAS on PC using the app, 0 devices found. I tried using both USB ports just incase. I'm unable to reinstall the system at all, unless there is another method than the USB drive?
