This worked for me, so far. Disable all of these in Preferences > Energy Saver.

I have installed the new driver for the D5 Thunderbolt 4 times and it never installed properly, including once by the engineer here. It is always listed as not loaded, after painstakingly following the instructions and the arrays would turn off spontaneously with warnings about not ejecting properly.

But now my pair of D5s have worked for hours after seeing the post by MJMohsen to disable energy saving items: actually in Big Sur, the route to do that is:
On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Battery and Battery again. Uncheck all of the boxes except optimize battery charging.

I was receiving a warning that I had not ejected my RAIDs properly when they would crash or the warning sound would go off with a D5 turning off by itself. Disabling the "Put hard disks to sleep when possible" appears to have solved the problem and it does not even appear that this complex installation of a new driver for Big Sur was even necessary.???
