Virtual Box prompts that VT-x is disabled in Bios?

Post by TMSupport »

Troubleshooting

Applicable model : all x.86 models such as 220/420/221/421 series

It means that VT-x is not enabled when using VirtualBox and it prompts like the following:

NOTE:
As the VT-x feature has not been activated in previous TerraMaster models, without activating VT-x, you can only install an 32-bit OS in your VirtualBox.

To activate the VT-x:
1.Locate the HDMI port at the rear of your TNAS;
2.Connect your TNAS to a monitor using HDMI cable;
3.Insert an USB keyboard to your TNAS;
4.Turn on your TNAS;
5.Keep hitting the ESC or DEL button to enter Bios;
6.Navigate Advanced > cpu configuration > VT-d, and change Disabled to Enabled;
7.Press F4 to save the setting and reboot your TNAS.
