Recommended cameras for Surveillance Manager(TOS 5).

Due to the large number of camera brands and models on the market, and many of manufacturers using custom communication protocols, Surveillance Manager encounters great challenges when matching with such cameras. For the convenience of users, TerraMaster has tested and verified some camera that are well compatible with Surveillance Manager. Please refer to this list when purchasing your cameras.

Common FAQs:

1. Unable to connect to the camera?
1) Find the correct IP address of camera, and log in to check the web page of the camera or the connected device page of the router.
2) Make sure that the ONVIF account and password are consistent with the camera settings, whether the user name and password of the camera ONVIF account are entered correctly, and the correct HTTP port to connect the camera.
3) Please confirm that the ONVIF function has been enabled on the camera, some cameras need to be manually turned on and set the account password.
(Note: Some models of HIKVISION needs to manually enable the integration protocol (ONVIF protocol))

2. The connection is interrupted after adding the camera?
1) Assign a static IP address to the camera, preventing its IP from updating and causing a disconnection.
2) Please use a wired connection to provide a more stable stream. If the camera only supports wireless connection, please make sure the Wi-Fi signal is strong enough.
3) Open the Windows command prompt or macOS terminal and enter "ping your_camera's_IP_address", if there is no normal response, please check whether your network is stable.
4) Restart the camera and see if the connection is restored. Due to hardware limitations, some cameras require periodic restarts to maintain stable performance.
5) Check for recent firmware updates, some updates may affect the connection and cause a regression, reset the camera to see if the connection has been restored.
