How to use the console interface of the T9-450/T12-450 model?

Post by TMzethar »

You can find the interface marked as COM/Console on the back cover interface of T9-450/T12-450. We will introduce to you the specific method of using the Console interface on Windows PC. At present, SSH does not support TOS debugging through the Console interface (it will be implemented through software updates in the future), and now only introduces the method of accessing BIOS.

Applicable models
T9-450, T12-450

Preparation
Windows PC, serial cable adapter (RJ45 to USB), Putty software

Steps
1. Turn off the T9-450/T12-450 and keep the power connected;
2. Right click and open Win > Device Manager > Ports (COM & LPT);

3. Connect the T9-450/T12-450 to the Windows PC with a serial port adapter, click "Scan for hardware changes" on the Ports (COM & LPT) page, and you will find a new "COM "interface;

4. If you do not find the new serial number of the "COM" interface, please contact the manufacturer of the serial port adapter to obtain the driver of the serial port adapter and install it to your Windows PC;
5. Assume that the new interface found is "COM7". Open Putty, select Session > Serial, enter "COM7" and baud rate "115200";

6. Select Terminal > Keyboard, check "VT100+", and keep other settings unchanged by default.
