How to add RAM module to TerraMaster NAS
Re: How to add RAM module to TerraMaster NAS
I did have a question about the f2-423 and the 32gb memory support. Intel's site states that the N5105 only supports up to 16gb of memory. How is it that the f2-423 can support up to 32gb using this same processor? Can anyone confirm that more than 16gb will be allocated/utilized by the system when running apps on the NAS require it? One YouTube reviewer stated that TOS was showing the 32gb as visible, but he had yet to confirm if the system will actually allocate/use more than 16gb.

My QNAP TS453A officially supports 8GB, but in reality it's working fine with 16GB. Its explained here http://www.january10th.com/portfolio/qnap-16gb-upgrade/

Just a heads up:
Your link to the 8gb Crucial stick (compatibility list) is broken currently (thanks to a revamp of their website at some point)

Could you please clarify, there is only one RAM slot in F4-423, why did you use two Crucial RAM?powerlinemk wrote: ↑04 Jun 2022, 04:28 For all interested:

I don’t have an F4-423 to double check but photos here seem to suggest there’s 2 slots (one on top, one on bottom of PCB) https://www.nasmaster.com/terramaster-f4-423-review/txhousa wrote: ↑15 Jul 2022, 03:16Could you please clarify, there is only one RAM slot in F4-423, why did you use two Crucial RAM?powerlinemk wrote: ↑04 Jun 2022, 04:28 For all interested:
