Hardware Raid

Post by Gido »

I'm looking for a Terranas with hardware raid (raid option in bios).

Does someone knows if the F4-422 of F4-423 has a build in raid ( bios raid ) ??

Gido.

Why do you want a HW RAID? The days of them being faster than SW based RAIDs are kind of gone. I'm guessing you are planning a lot of iops? But you might find this tread useful https://linustechtips.com/topic/1411593 ... is-better/

Because we are using the Terramaster with Almalinux (XFS) for veeam immutable backups. It’s easier and faster to swop a defected drive with hardware raid than rebuild it by hand with mdadm
