TNAS PC 5.0.35 does not have a mapped network drive option?

Post by TMzethar »

Applicable model:
All TNAS models

Fault phenomenon:
Some users are unable to find the option to map a network drive when using the new version of TNAS PC.

Failure causes and countermeasures:
The new version of TNAS PC needs to be adapted for use with the new TOS 5 version and you need to log in to TNAS PC before you can see the option to map network drives.

Windows
1. If your version of TOS is TOS4.x, please use the old version of TNAS PC (Windows) with the best compatibility, or check if your TNAS is suitable for re-installation and upgrade to TOS5 for the new version of TNAS PC.

2. If your version of TOS is TOS 5.x, you will need to select TNAS on your TNAS PC and click on "Login", once you have successfully logged in, you will find the "Mapping" option at the top right.

3. If the above methods do not solve your problem, you may not be able to use your TNAS PC to map your network drive properly due to other unknown reasons such as computer system settings or incompatibility.
Please try mapping the network drive using the method that comes with your computer:
Windows:
1). Press WIN + R and enter your IP address. Example: \\192.168.xxx.xxx

2). Enter your network credentials (TOS account and password) and tick the "Remember my credentials" box for subsequent access.

3). After successful credential verification, you will see your shared folders in Explorer.

4. Please right click on the shared folder you need to map e.g. public, Photos, etc. and select "Map Network Drive", click "Finish".

5. If you also need to map additional shared folders as network drives, repeat step 4.
