Shenzhen, China, March 19, 2021 – TerraMaster, specialists in innovative storage products, are pleased to introduce the U8-111, a highly-scalable enterprise-class 8-bay networked storage server, designed for enterprise virtualization, data-intensive applications, and service continuity. The U8-111 greatly improves enterprise office efficiency by upgrading the high-speed network environment to 10Gb Ethernet speed – but without requiring an increase in enterprise budget. It is the most cost-effective 8-bay NAS (Network-attached storage) product. It is ideal for applications demanding big data and high speeds, such as 4K video editing.

Built-in 10Gb Ethernet provides fast and stable performance
The TerraMaster U8-111’s built-in 10Gb Ethernet port provides up to 10Gb of high-speed bandwidth. With two Seagate IronWolf 6TB hard drives in RAID 0 mode, the device can reach read and write speeds of 650MB/s and 670MB/s respectively. Users can benefit from these rapid, best-in-class speeds even without replacing their existing Cat6/6A network cable architecture. The device was designed for professional users, including 4K video editors and users with big data and strict speed requirements.

Link aggregation support
Link Aggregation, combined with two network interfaces, ensures that server access will not be interrupted even if one interface fails – greatly reducing the probability of unexpected downtime. The Link Aggregation capability also breaks through single network interface speed limitations, and balances network traffic according to load, thus maintaining stable data transmission.

TOS 4.2 enterprise version makes management easy
The U8-111 features the latest enterprise version of the TOS 4.2 system which provides access to numerous applications and functions for easy user account and storage space management. TOS 4.2 version has a fresh new interface, and new features including Web Server support, Wake-on-LAN (WOL) support, IPv4 and IPv6 support, improved security with SSL, improved support and monitoring, and other features.

The TOS graphical interface lets you flexibly manage user accounts and storage space, and provides tight server security and optimized storage space management. Configurable alert notifications keep you informed of server status. You can also access files in TNAS via a web browser, drag and drop files on computers to upload files to the NAS, and download files easily.

Centralized storage with smart backup
Easily backup data from Macs, PCs, and USB external devices and servers to TNAS for centralized management. The TerraMaster backup application supports data deduplication and incremental backup technology, greatly reducing storage space consumption. The system supports Time Machine backup, USB external storage backup and Rsync remote backup, to ensure data security.

Virtual disk support
The TerraMaster U8-111 supports virtual disks via ISCSI to expand storage space for TNAS servers, improve storage space management and efficiency, and share storage with other TNAS remotely.

An obvious choice of NAS
The U8-111 is a highly-competitive, affordably-priced NAS, providing flexible configuration and professional performance. No matter what hard drive capacity configuration you use, TerraMaster’s U8-111 stands above all other products in its class – for performance, cost-effectiveness, and user satisfaction.

Pricing
The TerraMaster U8-111 8-Bay Storage Server has an MSRP of US$1099. Now available at Amazon in the United States and Amazon.de in Germany. For other regions, please contact your local TerraMaster representative for more details on pricing and availability.

I would have to pick a NAS F4-210 because of the ability to being able to access my storage any where at any time without the requirement of actually running my computer or any device, It would be as easy as keeping the NAS running and attaching it to a network and accessing my data through my phone or uploading it through my phone which is so convenient.
