My ideal solution is the NAS. With the NAS my family can store and share their files and media safely over the home network. All our devices are backed up onto it and important files cloud synced offsite. All this is made simple by TOS and the available suite of tools.

I prefer the NAS, it offers me a lot of options over DAS that I really need: network access via LAN or wifi, more versatile storage with extended RAID capabilities, security or backup options, even if you have to pay a higher price for it.

I like the NAS since it can be accessed throughout the network on multiple devices. The idea of a DAS connected to a PC for Plex/Steam purposes sounds good though!

Definitely NAS! Would love to have a multimedia centre at home that will enable us to stream media to different rooms from one single device. Also, all memorable and important files are just in one place!
