Using Mail Server with custom domain

Post by nthkmf »

Hi bro,

I also view video how to on setup this app. Link is here: https://youtu.be/R7rekhx5EVQ
The link shows using local IP for setup email, so it is not suitable for me.
That is the reason why I ask for help here.

I have domain, just like this: mailplus.chinhtriet.net (I recently test it with mail server app on NAS Synology, so don't worry about this, I bought TNAS already.), my mail server is on TNAS, and the mail server named: mail.mailplus.chinhtriet.net, port 110 and 25 were opened.
I have user: hoc.nguyen@mailplus.chinhtriet.net, pass: Abcd@1234.
I cannot add it to Foxmail. Can you help me?

Regards,
HN

Please refer to: https://help.terra-master.com/TOS/view/ ... ail_server

Bind mailbox account by Foxmail:
1. Open Foxmail, click the setting button at the top right corner, select Account Management>New>Other Mailbox>Manual Settings
2. Select POP3 as the receiving server type
3. Enter the created mailbox account and password, pop server and smtp server fill in the IP address of nas
4. Do not enable ssl encryption, the ports of pop server and smtp server are default ports: 110 and 25
5. Click Create to finish the creation
6. Create different mailbox accounts for internal mail sending

If you want to send and receive emails on external network, you need to have fixed public IP address and email domain name.
1. You need to map port 25 and 110 of nas in router.
2. Create mail server of specified domain name in TOS system and create corresponding mailbox list.
3. Do the corresponding resolution operation at the domain name service provider.
Add a new A record and point the domain name to your own public IP address, for example, terra-master.com points to 14.118.130.205.
Check the resolution status: Enter nslookup -q=mx xxx.com in the terminal to check the resolution status, the time of resolution completion varies among different service providers.
4. Login through the client with the created mailbox user.
Sending and receiving server: fill in fixed IP address or mail domain name, such as 14.118.130.205 or terra-master.com

You can ping the server domain name from the cmd directory on your computer to see if the public IP address of your network has been resolved successfully. For example:
ping.png
ping.png (12.46 KiB) Viewed 1575 times
If the domain name resolution is successful, check whether the router maps ports 25 and 110.
