Dear support,
we used the D5-300 with 5 8TB drives in RAID5 with great satisfaction and everything worked great in transferring large amounts of video from computer to storage. Unfortunately on the return trip, while we were at the airport, they asked us to remove the hard drives from the D5 to make them travel separately.
The disks contain TB of data that we cannot lose, the problem is that now we have the DAS on one side and 5 disks on the other, having not marked the order of the disks how do we put them back together without doing damage and losing data? Is there a procedure we can use to reinsert the hard drives in the correct order?
Thanks in advance
D5-300 DISK POSITION ISSUES
Re: D5-300 DISK POSITION ISSUES
Don't worry. Changing the order of the hard disks does not affect normal use.
