D5-330 does not show up after MacOS Update (13.1)

Post by LeonC »

Hello,

after updating to MacOS 13.1 (22C65) my TerraMaster D5-330 is not showing up in the finder or in the RAID Manager Pro. In the RAID Manager Pro I get the Message "The connection between APP and RAID HBA has been interruptted, APP will try to reconnect RAID HBA in 1 second(s)."

I tried to uninstall the RAID Controller Driver, but it did worked out:

sh-3.2# sudo rm –rf /Library/Extensions/HighPointRR.kext
rm: –rf: No such file or directory
rm: /Library/Extensions/HighPointRR.kext: is a directory

When I tried to install the RAID driver, it said the installation would be complete, but there was no System Extension Updated window in the end, where I could click the "Open Security Preferences".

When checking whether the driver is installed successfully, it does not find the driver.

leoncrusius@MacBook-Pro-von-Leon ~ % sudo su
Password:
sh-3.2# kextstat | grep high*
Executing: /usr/bin/kmutil showloaded
No variant specified, falling back to release

I tried installing the driver now multiple times and also restarted my computer a couple times.

System is a M1 Pro Macbook Pro (2021) with MacOS 13.1 (22C65).
Startup Security Utility:
- "Reduced Security" is ticked
- "Allow user management of kernel extensions from identified developers" is ticked
- "Allow remote management of kernel extensions and automatic software updates" is ticked

Thank you for your help.

Problem solved:

I was falsely following the big sur instructions. With the newer driver it worked.

I was having similar issues exactly! Great to hear you got it to work! Which driver did you find that made everything run smoothly?

I’m thinking of updating to Venutura. Does terramaster officially give the latest version a thumbs up?

Which install link should I be using for it? Is there one Spector Mac OS Ventura?

Thanks for any help

I've tried the driver 4.24.0_220608 - This driver doesn't seem to be working for me. I wonder if there is a link somewhere to a newer driver? I can't seem to find one....
