I was considering purchasing a D5 Thunderbolt unit, but I was horrified to observe your guide for installing your kext based driver, which advocates disabling system startup security. This is a terrible idea and should never be recommended. If you need your kext to be allowed then you can provide instructions for adding your Apple developer team id as a trusted team. This is far, far safer than simply disabling startup security.
Having said that, it is likely that the type of kext that you use for your driver is no longer supported under macOS Ventura, which is due to be released very soon. So when do you plan to have proper, native macOS support that does not require a kext based driver?
I really cannot contemplate purchasing your products until this aspect is improved.
When will there be proper macOS support including Ventura?
Re: When will there be proper macOS support including Ventura?
I thought that the D5 TB3 was natively supported since Big Sur.
I know that I have not had to install a driver since then.
