I wanted to set up my new D5-330/TB3 today. Unfortunately, there are problems with the RAID driver.
I use a MacBook Pro i9 with T2-Chip and macOS Big Sur 11.5.2
I have installed the driver according to your instructions from the forum (Disable security…allow kext etc). But the kextstat is not showing up. I tries a couple of times with different releases of the Raid-driver (release date 11/17/2020, 10/26/2020 and 03/12/2021).
Only the latest driver (M1_v4.23.1 from 12th of march 2021) works…. But only if I do not reboot!
If I install this driver and leave die latest dialog (reboot) open, I am able to run the Raid-utility and create a volume.
After a reboot the driver is not loaded (or remains in the system), the new volume does not mount.
Mac T2 is still disabled.
So I have to run the driver-installation again and leave the dialog open without a reboot. Only then can I use the drive.
How can I use the drive normally?
Is there a (new) working driver for macOS 11.5.2 which also runs after reboot?
Or is there a solution to use the D5-330/TB3 without the HighPoinRRt-driver?
Thanks

Re: D5-330/TB3 driver & MacOS 11.5.2
Thanks for the reply.
But the problem remains.
I have installed the driver again and followed the Instruction viewtopic.php?f=66&t=1105.
After the reboot (from Setup-dialog) my system boots up an no volume mounted.
If I check the driver with sudo su > kextstat | grep high* I only got "No variant specified, failing back to release"
The driver is not loaded or the system prevents kext extensions.
I also try this viewtopic.php?f=66&t=1106 also without success.
So I have to install driver 4.23.1 again and leave the (reboot) dialog open to access my volume...

Re: D5-330/TB3 driver & MacOS 11.5.2
Hi,
Is it possible to use another MAC of the same system to try?

I will try this on my MacMini. But this Mac runs MacOS 10.15.7.
The picture below shows the current situation.
Open dialog; without reboot and working driver (4.23.1)

I think it has to do with the Big Sur architecture
https://developer.apple.com/de/support/ ... xtensions/
or some sandboxing issues; maybe... I'm not an expert
There is also a SoftRAID Kernel-Extension. Is this correct?

Re: D5-330/TB3 driver & MacOS 11.5.2
After many frustrating attempts following these instructions, I could make it work but only going directly to the Highpoint website.
Instructions:
https://highpoint-tech.com/PDF/RR3700/H ... _11_20.pdf
Driver:
https://highpoint-tech.com/BIOS_Driver/ ... 10_26.dmg
This is the driver version 4.22 and I can confirm it works with my iMac Pro 2017, Big Sur 11.6 with my D5 - Thunderbolt.
Remember to uninstall the driver first accordingly to the instructions and then install it.
Hope it helps.

Re: D5-330/TB3 driver & MacOS 11.5.2
@aefilho many thanks for that.
This is the solution for D5 & MacOS 11.5
The driver works and survives the reboot. Volume is accessible and works with the HighPointRR-diver 4.22.0.
Such a great board here. @Terramaster please update your support-documentations.
