RAID_Manager_Pro is MacOs Big Sure 11.1

Post by Vinser »

Hi, some of you know if RAID Manager Pro software is compatible with the new MacOs Big Sur.
As a peripheral I have a 5-bay Thunderbolt 3 D5.
Because the software sees the SSDs and creates Raid 0 but the Big Sur operating system does not.
Am I wrong in some settings?
Are there any guides on this?

Thanks for the attention.

Hello,
Thunderbolt 3 D5 device and RAID Manager Pro support Mac Os Big Sur 11.1.
If your Mac computer has an M1 chip, it is not currently supported.
We are still updating the M1_RAID driver. Please be patient and it is expected to be completed in mid-March.

don't have an M1 chip but an 8th Gen Intel Core i7 6 core at 3.2GHz.
I wanted to know why the ssd icon with Raid 0 created with RAID Manager Pro does not appear on the Mac desktop?

Thanks.

Yes, I have successfully installed the latest drivers that appear in the system report, extensions.
I disabled all the safeties at apple startup, as mentioned before the RAID Manager Pro software sees the ssd and creates raid 0 for me but it remains transparent to the operating system

Not really transparent in Disk Utility sees it but it does not appear on the desktop even by enabling the check mark on external disks in finder preferences

Hello,
Do you want to express why the icon of the hard drive is not set on the Mac desktop? The Mac desktop icon is set in the preferences of the Finder menu bar. Can you find the relevant settings in it?
