I recently set up a new D5 on a Mac Studio running Ventura 13.1. Everything was working fine, until I updated to 13.2.
Since the update, the D5 appears to work perfectly, and RAID Manager Pro shows it with no problems. However, the system does not see any disks provided by it. Disk Utility shows no disks; neither does diskutil on the command line. The device shows up properly in system_profiler as a Thunderbolt device, but no storage devices are associated with it.
I tested on an M1 MacBook Pro running 13.1, and the drives come up without any problem there.
I have tried fully uninstalling and reinstalling the driver with no success. I've gone in and verified that the system is set to allow kexts to be loaded. kextstat shows version 4.24.0.
Am I missing something obvious?
Drives not mounting on Ventura 13.2
Re: Drives not mounting on Ventura 13.2
Apparently, it was specific to 13.2, because the 13.2.1 update fixed the issue.
Re: Drives not mounting on Ventura 13.2
Yes, Apple needs to fix its own issues.
