Plex 1.18.6.2368 no Transcoding

Post by hstruck »

Since the last Update it seems that Plex can't do Hardware-Trancoding anymore on the F5-221.
Plex always says: This server is not powerful enough to convert video
Especially HVEC or h256 encoded Videos.
However, it worked before the latest update.
So, now i have a NAS that can't do what Terramaster says it can do:
These devices are compatible with both AES hardware encryption and 4K HD video transcoding, making the F5-221 an ideal candidate for home multimedia entertainment
Bummer, this thing get's worse with every update.

Btw: it would be very nice if we could downgrade specific Apps when the updated ones don't behave like expected.

As Plex is a third party application, you better download a system log if you can, and report it to Plex.
