PLEX app cannot update - Operation Failed

I recently noticed that new media was not being being picked up from the folder Plex targets. It could see the folders of the media, but was not allowing users to view the actual media file. I went to the server and saw the application had an update available, but kept getting an "operation failed" message when trying. I then tried to uninstall so that I could reinstall it, but instead the uninstall option just disappeared, but the application remained in "update" available status. Now the plex server is completely unavailable and there appears to be no way for me to remove it or update or fix it without completely resetting my server. Model F5-421, TOS version: 4.1.27-2006301044
