How to install Nextcloud in Docker?

Nextcloud is an open source and free private cloud storage network disk, which can realize cross-platform and cross-device file synchronization, sharing, version control, team collaboration and other functions. You can easily access your cloud disk on almost all devices.

Applicable Model:
X86 models: F2-220, F2-221, F2-420, F2-421, F4-220, F4-221, F4-420, F4-421, F5-220, F5-221, F5-225, F5-420, F5-421, F5-422, F8-421, F8-422.
Not suitable for ARM models.

Compatible TOS version:
All X86 TOS versions.

Instructions:
1. Input nextcloud at Registry under Docker to search and download the suitable image.
2. Check the downloaded image and click Launch.

3. Go to Container - Details - Overview to find the tcp port as the following picture shows:

4.Input TNAS IP address:7674 (such as https://192.168.8.10:7674/) to use it.

This is a great article, and should be published somewhere more visible (in my opinion).
Should we expect that this will be the standard method to run Nextcloud on TOS, or will the "App" be updated still?

Is this NC Docker installation secure to be exposed to the internet, or is it for use within the local network only?

The way @StephenM did it behind a proxy looks more secure. I understand the thread has some required updating, which StephenM was unable to do because of limited edit access. Perhaps cleaning that up and making it the official Docker way moving forward would benefit everone.

You can do it like this, BUT....

The desktop or the mobile apps, which make this the replacement for Dropbox or similar, will only work via HTTPS.

Hence the need for the reverse proxy.

Also, this version uses SQLite, which is not recommended in a production environment. And doesn’t support ARM.

Full disclosure... I didn't try this before I commented and said it was great . I figured anything was better than the super out-of-date application published in TOS.
