For some reasons, after you installed chrome, it reports it is not the default browser, "click here to make default", this way could be failed to change defualt browser in Windows system. Therefore, in such case, the TNAS PC application still calls the internet explorer, which brings issues for your TOS loading. The better solution is to set the dafult browser on Windows control panel. Following is an article for your reference:

but browser-based turn off did not work. The LED's on the front just stay on, never turns off.
Activating the power switch on the front does nothing.

Ok can not reach the NAS eventhough the LED's are on Now cannot turn it back on

Ok I just unplugged it and restarted and it is coming back.
Just wished instructions were a bit better
