Re: TOS Desktop
What browser is opening up when you click the "Login" button on TNAS PC?
I ask because for some reason, even though my default browser is the new "Edge", TNAS PC would only use Internet Explorer. Internet Explorer would sometimes give me a blank page with the bar like in your screenshot once TNAS was installed/updated.
Are you able to log in using Chrome or Firefox by launching manually and typing:
https://<ip of your NAS>
That's what I had to do to make sure that I can login properly every time.

Re: TOS Desktop
I'm using Edge as well, which works fine for me. It just seems to be the TNAS PC app that calls iexplore.exe explicitly instead of being able to call the default browser. Internet Explorer is installed on every Win 10 machine, even if you don't use it as your default. It's buried in there.
It seems like Internet Explorer doesn't have the features needed to properly render the TOS desktop, which makes sense since Microsoft is essentially replacing it with Edge. As long as you use the new Chromium based Edge, Chrome (or any of it's forks), or Firefox, you probably won't run into this problem.
Hope that helps!

Re: TOS Desktop
one last question (for now at least)
There is no clear instruction on turning off the NAS
I need to physically move things around and need to power down
I see you can power down from desktop but that does not turn it off.
if I press the on-off button nothing happens
I know if I hold the on-off button in for too long it will be reinitialized

Re: TOS Desktop
You should be able to power off the NAS by left-clicking your name in the top right corner, and selecting Power Off.
That should gracefully shut down the NAS, and power it off completely (at least it does for me).
