TNAS mobile 3 Beta is released for testing NOW!

Post by TMzethar »

In everyone's expectations, the good partner of TOS 5, TNAS mobile 3 mobile client has finally ushered in beta testing. The new version adopts a new structure and is redeveloped, with a new more reasonable and beautiful UI, and added functions: OTP password verification, encrypted safe box, file index classification, sharing management, message notification, remote download...etc. In addition, the TNAS mobile administrator function is also back, with which you can easily monitor the device from the mobile phone. More new features are still in development and planning...

Notice:
1. A beta version is an early version of a program that contains most of the main features, but is not yet complete and may have some bugs or defects. The beta version is only released to a select group of people, or to the general public, for testing and feedback;
2. The Beta version is not suitable for use in work or production environments. If your TNAS device is running business or storing important data, please do not participate in this test program;
3. The backup methods and paths currently supported by TNAS mobile 3 are different from those of the old version, and backup migration cannot be achieved by moving folders. Please pay attention to distinguish them and save the photos and videos backed up by the old version of the mobile phone;
4. Applicable to Android 8.0 and iOS 14.0 and above mobile phone system
5.Your TNAS system version should be no less than TOS 5.0.176; TOS 4 version is not supported.

Have updated to .171 to be able to use this app, however it doesn't allow for login (specifically made a new user just to test).

Is there configuration required on the NAS to enable access for this application?

I'm not clear what you mean by this, @crisisacting. Why did you need to create a new user? Are you able to log in to the mobile app as an administrator?

I'm puzzled by this "Safe Box". There seems to be no other mention of it anywhere else. If this is a function available through the TOS 5 WebUI I can't seem to find it.

Thanks. But where is the Safe Box data stored then? The app doesn't make this clear. As this is a NAS app, the presumption would be that it's stored on the NAS. Are we saying it's not, however, accessible on the NAS?

Is there any documentation about this?

Doesn't matter which user, that's the error now.
