Keep two Terramaster NAS devices in sync

Hi,
Due to COVID we have several network issues. Therefore we want to setup a NAS device in the office that keeps itself in sync with a NAS device at another location. One of the device will be the Terramaster F2-220.

Any file created or deleted on any of the NAS drives should sync to the other drive.

Is this possible? How to set it up? We will be using an established VPN connection between the two locations.

I am afraid that the required sync feature of the whole NAS could not be realized.
You could create scheduled backup tasks with the pointed folders, but not the whole NAS.
Say that you have two TNAS devices, one is TM home and the other is TM office. If you want to backup from TM home to TM office:
You should set the TM office as Rsync server (please go to TOS Control panel - Network services - File service to enable Rsync Server), and add authorized folders there. Then on this TM Office NAS, you should forward the Rsync port tcp873 on the router, and here is the link about port forwarding for your reference: https://www.howtogeek.com/66214/how-to- ... ur-router/.
Then on the TM Home, you can create Rsync backup task. The IP address you should enter is the IP address of TM Office.

Thanks, technically they will be on the same network as I am using VPN as an extra layer of protection. Not sure if that would make a change in the possibilities for keeping them in sync but it likely makes the port mapping a bit easier. Thanks for the detailed reply.
