thank you all updated with the online update (although i had to go and tell it to check for updates, would have thought it would pop up when entering the admin page that there was an update?)

it took a minute to do the update and rebooted so relatively painless (i was on 4.1.30 and already applied the 1.03 patch so am i correct in thinking this hasnt actually done much just formalised the patch update?

so update on 4.1.31, got up this morning and the nas drive (F2-210) had dropped off the network as far as network share and plex was concerned

i could access to the web admin and that all looked ok, so decided to restart from the web admin on my phone, it beeped and told me that i had to initialise it (i ignored it and closed the browser down and waited it for it to reboot properly)

it did and is now happy again without having to initialise it so looks like its showing that screen by accident on a reboot

Good Morning,

I updated my TNAS yesterday and everything worked fine so far.
After finishing the update and rebooting it seems like FTP, Bonjour, AFP, Telnet and SSH are enabled again (i disabled them).
In Addition my TNAS has the default workgroup again.

For me the "Power-off-by-button"-Bug has been fixed. It's shutting down after holding the button for ~3 Seconds.
Thank you!

Regards,
Jonas

I can confirm that FTP, Telnet, AFP, UPnP, and Bonjour are reenabled after this update. Please fix future updates so they do not enable services. Updates need to leave the service status unchanged.

Good Evening,
I have to inform you that the "Power-off-by-button"-Bug is NOT fixed. I tried to shut it down via my TNAS Android App - The Device won't do anything when i click on "shutdown" on my Android App (tested with 2 different Android-Devices).
I tried to Shut it down (again, like yesterday) with holding the Button for 3 to 5 Seconds - The TNAS is crashing and i cant access it via TNAS App or Browser Session anymore. I had to pull the Plug (again!!!).

I really can't live with that to pull the Plug to shut it down. I'm pretty concerned about the ongoing SMART Values of my hdd's.

Please take a look on that again...

Regards

Seems like there are some versioning issues here as there definitely does seem to have been fixes 'undone'. The settings one in particular has appeared in 4.1.31 that was not present in 4.1.30 with the patch..

It seems stable but have seen the following problems now. On F4-210 found a drive light off that should of been on. Still could access and write or read as normal. Then today I notice the Lan light was out(front) after having a power outage. Still could access the unit. Light came back after a reboot. Did not have this problem till the patch 1.03
American Flyer, to Lionel HO then AHM and Blue box. Now in N scale do to space. Computers started with Ti99A and the C-64, went to PC and now use a NAS! :D

Power outage killed the system or even your file system. If your system fail to operate properly, you have to re-install the TOS, or even need to replace your hard drive.
