As i understand it UPS is a separate entity to the auto power on after outage, also i friend is running the Beta 4.2.01 software and he had the same power out last night and his F5-221 powered back on with no UPS.

I believed that the ups, when it is in battery mode and is running out of power or the configured time ñ, sends the tnas to turn off correctly. Then when the electricity returns, the Tnas turns back on. I had read there, that was what this option was for. But it may be, these things change so much ...

do we know if hibernation works in this version 4.1.30?
Because I have to hibernate it in 30min, and I don't notice a difference in vibrations.

Greetings and thanks

I have two wd 4tb network. It may be that when they go into hibernation, instead of stopping completely, they turn at lower revolutions?
I am using an application, this one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... tion&hl=es, to test the vibrations, putting the mobile on top of the Tnas unit.
Without the discs, the mark is almost zero with the drive fan idling.
When you restart with the discs, the average of the vibrations is at 2.3. But when, when in theory it is in hibernation, the mark is at 1.4 approx.
the unit fan, I have seen that it has no effect on vibrations.
without discs: 0 approx
with discs in normal mode: 2.3
with disks in hibernation theory: 1.4.

With those registers, I understand that the discs rotate, but at a slower speed. Can that be correct?

Regards.

Again this issue: Web Server is disabled in every reboot and deactivates randomly as well... :(

Hello Team,

i've no idea if it's an TOS Update Issue but i report it anyway:

Is it possible to shutdown the NAS via the power button on the enclosure? If so it ain't working (anymore?)
I tried to "shut it down" by holding the power button for about 10 seconds. There's a beep, my NAS is not available in the network anymore but it stays powered on.

Cheers

For F2-210/F4/210, one press to power on, press and hold 3 seconds to power off.

i've done that, but it won't power off. All LED stay green, it's not accessable anymore but it's not going to shutdown.

It seem your tos update failed, your tnas does not work anymore. Did you shutdown your tnas during updating?
Please try to re-install your TOS refer to following article: viewtopic.php?f=75&t=423

If your tnas is bricked, please refer to following instructions to repair it. viewtopic.php?f=75&t=696&p=3154&hilit=bricked#p3154
