Since i have had so much trouble with the TNAS and i am now prepared for it so most data is now backed up elsewhere i may as well go for it so have tried Plex and all seems to work OK, and i agree with your observations so far on the regional/language and editing panel glitches and i have also discovered this on the apps screen,

Another thing i am glad to say works on both the new and the beta version is the power on after a power out .
And one other thing is that although it seems like the CPU high reading without being backed up by the processes running, Also the memory usage remains high despite the processes running saying otherwise.
I don't get that odd background graphic in the apps screen here. It did take a browser cache clear and a forced refresh to sort out a few odd display issues.

It also logs you out after about 20-30mins and says token expired.

App updates dont show on the main apps folder and only show once you actually open the apps page.

I've found a problem with file manager in the latest TOS 4.2.02 beta. The logged in users home directory doesn't show anymore. For example, logged in as admin I can't see the admin folder in the list on the left.

I can get to the logged in user folder by clicking on the home button on the top bar but the folder should (and used to) appear in the list also.

Problem solved. In the user/advanced section there's an option to "enable user home directory", it was un-ticked. I'm not 100% sure but I think previous builds didn't obey this setting and homes would be created regardless so I'd left it un-ticked. Either way, I'm sorted now :D

Are there any plans for a new beta version that includes some of the improvements that have been made in 4.1.30? I thought that was the whole point of having a beta program?

In this version 4.2.02, it still does not allow sharing files with password! we have this bug since version 4.1.27.
That you cannot share a file with a password is a very important security flaw.
