Considering all the problems we already have who is going to be brave enough to test it?

Upgrade done. Had to clear my browser cache to see all new icons etc in the revamped desktop.

A number of settings seem to always get overwritten between upgrades for me, timezone resets to +8 hrs, date format resets to mm/dd/yyyy, AFP turned back on even though I always disable it, likewise Bonjour was turned back on. There could be a few more but this seems to happen to me on 4.1.xx branch upgrades too.

One annoyance I've been meaning to post for a while is that here in the UK if we pick our timezone the system shows IST instead of GMT/BST. IST is Irish standard time which only applies in the Republic or Ireland. There's no impact in practice but it should be showing BST for british summertime right now and then GMT once the daylight saving +1 hour goes back on last Sunday of October.

The first error I've spotted is in attached screenshot on the service status page:

One further slight annoyance, the icon spacing on the desktop shows Applications with the s spilling over to a new line, see screenshots (also shows the IST time setting I mentioned in my earlier post):

Another small issue, non English text in font size drop downs when English language selected on Region & Language, Login Style:

I gave in out of shear curiosity and updated to the new update .28 and its doesn't seem to have given me further problems so may just bite the bullet now you have taken the plunge. :)

I've only tested basic file share functionality so other aspects like Plex might be not work as you expect.

Since i have had so much trouble with the TNAS and i am now prepared for it so most data is now backed up elsewhere i may as well go for it so have tried Plex and all seems to work OK, and i agree with your observations so far on the regional/language and editing panel glitches and i have also discovered this on the apps screen,

Another thing i am glad to say works on both the new and the beta version is the power on after a power out .
And one other thing is that although it seems like the CPU high reading without being backed up by the processes running, Also the memory usage remains high despite the processes running saying otherwise.

TOS 4.2.01 beta Release Notes
Can you please clarify what Beta means for TerraMaster, as this may have different meaning across companies: often in a MAJOR.MINOR.PATCH release cycle it means:
- we are "feature complete" for X.z, but there may still be bugs

So, is the expected feature list complete in your opening post, or may we see some other features coming-up to that 4.2.z cycle before first official release? (like long awaited & promised TimeMachine quota)

Thanks.
