Yep, never been on. Just been and checked and it is indeed off. I can't pin it down to anything in particular, it's the load and CPU that just spikes to 100% despite everything else reading fine. Whilst spiking, if I go into processes and sort by CPU High>Low, there's nothing there abnormal.

Ciao,
After last update to TOS 5.0.176 for my F2-422, I'm not able to remove or to install new or old applications; moreover they are not more usefull (they don't start at all).
I have tried twice to reinstall TOS (not only to update) but nothing.
Please Help me .... my F2-422 by now is completely not useful ....
Eulero

No image indexing on. Load spikes to 100%, but everything else shows fine.

Just wanted to report that VBoxManage CLI is still not functional in 5.0.176

/usr/lib64/virtualbox/VBoxManage list ostypes
VBoxManage: error: Failed to create the VirtualBox object!
VBoxManage: error: Code NS_ERROR_FACTORY_NOT_REGISTERED (0x80040154) - Class not registered (extended info not available)
VBoxManage: error: Most likely, the VirtualBox COM server is not running or failed to start.

This was previously reported here for 5.0.163:

Hello all...

I update my 2 F5-221 and strangly, I dont have the same BIOS/Initboot version... One is 5.12 and the other MAPL0304V17
Ever more strange, notification email are not working on the 5.12 (this is how I noticed the difference debugging this problem)...

hi, i have the F2-422 NAS server with the latest TOS 5.0.176 and the #recycle bin doesn't seem to work...when i delete a file via SMB (windows), at the #recycle folder, there is only the folder that the file was at the first place, and not the file itself...i have enabled recycle for the shared folder...is that a bug? or am i doing something wrong?

Back up files of the #recycle. Then go to Control Panel - Shared Folders, disable the Recycle Bin and enable it again.
Note: Disabling the recycle bin will delete the files in the recycle bin.

Version: TOS 5.0.176
Installed: ClamAV, CloudSync, Log Center, Plex
Accessing via MacBook.

Query: My Time Machine backups keep failing (after setting up without issue), and also unable to reconnect to my SMB shares/locations. Both issues say incorrect username or password. If i reset within TOS the password to the same as my current password it allows me to reconnect for a short period of time but later the issue returns. Can you please assist?

Many thanks.

Is it normal when accessing TOS through the web?
You can try to create a new user to connect to see if it works.
