Check out this post I created : * FIXED * SMB File Attributes being removed after upgrade from TOS 4.x to 5.0
viewtopic.php?f=24&t=3411

I had the same thing and ended up getting back that this is intended config and to use SMB options, but the fix I suggested works fine.
you have to add the SMB config options back in and restart the service at the ssh console : )

Cheers

Download and update worked as expected - pending more testing but the update seems to be running smoothly on my F5-422.

Verified that the SMB permissions adding - Advanced settings and entering in :
store dos attributes = yes
map archive = yes
map hidden = yes
map readonly = yes
map system = yes
disable and reenable also works in place of putty to change the condfig.

Scheduled Task are running as expected. Scheduled task is not kicking me back to the login screen now : )

Thanks for the patch and fix for tasks :)

I have a bug with usbshare2. I can't change the permission for this drive. I can change for 1 and 3 but not for 2. I have also take another drive for usbshare2 and have the same effect, the permission did not change in smb.conf and i also see this drive.

@Kenfrog

thanks for the constructive help!

tho i'm not sure if this is the kind of permissions im having trouble with, its more user access im having trouble with.

still, im going to give this a go as i consider file attributes necessary

Thanks!
