thumbnailDaemon is the process of generating image thumbnails. Waiting for the image processing to complete, the process will not occupy high cpu.

I find I get that for an hour or so on my F5-221 with each of the recent updates before it sorts it self out, with a few CPU has exceed 90% usage warnings. I believe is the Media Index doing a scan?

Re: TOS 5.0.135 (x.86) is Released for Update
Working well, as others have said CPU is spiking due to thumbnail generation. But no issues so far. TOS5 gets better with every release.
Re: TOS 5.0.135 (x.86) is Released for Update

Re: TOS 5.0.135 (x.86) is Released for Update
After the update, all the installed apps are gone.
If I try to re-install them, I receive an "operation failed" message.
This is the first issue that I encounter with TOS 5.x, everything worked well before.

Re: TOS 5.0.135 (x.86) is Released for Update
My NAS has been 4:40 hours (since I installed the new version) with the CPU at 100%.
The process is thumbnailDaemon.
I understand that is indexing the photos to make thumbnails... but almost 5 hours at 100%?

Same problem here.
I have tried to remove one disk and, after the restart, the files magically appears.
But then I retry to access after a few hours, and there is nothing on the disk, no volume, no storage pools.
