TOS 4.1.18 for F4-221/F5-221

Post by hstruck » 06 Jan 2020, 01:16

In TOS 4.1.15 they fixed the incorrect prompt message of over-high temperature of HDDs in Notification center
In TOS 4.1.18 from http://download.terra-master.com/downlo ... n&tid=1041 this incorrect message is back.
The smart fan doesn't seem to work either. The fan is either permanently too slow or too fast.
In addition, there are currently no release notes for the new version on the download page, instead only for the old version 4.1.15
VPN-connection and Dyndns also don't work.
Various services, such as the Bonjour service are activated again after the update, although I previously deactivated them.
The update should at least respect the settings made by the user and not always change them independently.

Is there any fix for the annoying (and continuous) temperature alert messages?
As mentioned earlier in this thread, the SmartFan option does not seem to work any more either.
I've only starting seeing the alert messages since updating to TOS 4.1.18 earlier this week.
My device is definitely not overheating and is in a well ventilated area.

Please try with setting the fan mode to Medium Speed first.
