This update includes the following bug fixes for the previous version:
1. Fixed a security vulnerability related to the Deadbolt ransomware attack.
2. Optimized fan control during HDD hibernation.

Important Notes
1. This update is only for TOS 4.2.01 or later versions. If your TOS is 4.1.27 or an earlier version, please refer to here.
2. Under normal circumstances, the system update will not affect the data in your hard drives, but for your data safety, it is strongly recommended that you back up your data before the update!
3. If you are running VirtualBox in TOS, please update the VirtualBbox before updating 4.2.30, otherwise, your system will fail irreparably!

4.TOS 4.2.30 needs to be used with the new version of the TNAS Mobile APP, the version of TNAS Mobile for android is 2.4.18, and the version of TNAS Mobile for iOS is 2.4.13.

How to update your TOS?

Online update:
1. Go to TOS > Control Panel > General settings > Software update;
2. Check the option "Online update", click "Apply";
3. Follow the prompt to finish the update;

Manual update:
1. Download the update package: Update package for ARM models; Update package for x.86 models
2. Go to TOS> Control Panel> General Settings> Update & Restore, and click “Manual Update”;
3. Click "Browse" to select the update package;
4. Click "Apply";

The patch 1.31 has been included in the TOS 4.2.30.

Just saw the update, and have applied it.

Remember to leave a few minutes before trying to login, otherwise you will loop on the login screen and think there is an issue.

The check for updates isn't working for me, been trying for the past couple of hours. Would also appreciate a download link for manual update.

Hello,

Update has worked so far. One note : For me it reset the SMB setting in the menu to factory and I had to reset the SMB things like smb 2 minimum to smb 3 maximum!
Some other security settings like the DDOS protection were also disabled after the update !
