Here, fan seems working.... but like all updates..... SSH port changed to default port... when usually I set it to 22 local only... fan stil set at automatic.... range between 800 rpm and 1500 rpm
Temp of both HD in my F2-221 are maintained at +- 40-41C... CPU 34C.... normal for HD that are 100% ON... never sleep.

TOS 4.2.17 is released for update
Re: TOS 4.2.17 is released for update!
Since this update, I have lost sight of my USB share drives via FTP, which was why I brought this Nas. Having spoken to tech support they are saying they have removed the option to allow FTP users to see these external drives. Now I am stuck with a NAS that is useless to me. I have asked if I can rollback the firmware but no joy. Any suggestions on how I can go back to the 4.1.x firmware, as I have tried the firmware from the site but every time the system says the firmware is older than what's already on ...I am pulling my hair out.

@darkone69: Afaik you have to go through initial setup with the older firmware in order to revert. Also I wouldn't recommend it because of security reasons.

@jac de lad , thank you for your reply. Is it a case of doing s factory reset then installing an older firmware. Pardon my ignorance on this, I am a newbie when it comes to NasJac de Lad wrote: ↑20 Nov 2021, 17:06 @darkone69: Afaik you have to go through initial setup with the older firmware in order to revert. I cont give you definitive information on that, last time I tried I lost my data and had to recover it with a special software. I'm sure I did something wrong. Support can definitely help you.
Also, maybe TOS 5 will address this issue. Or maybe you can plug the stick into your router?

After updating to 4.2.17, later to 4.2.18 an even aplying TOS_PATCH_X64_1.18 my HDDs do not enter Sleep mode after any time interval configured in Hardware & Power -> Hard Drive Sleep. They are simply always ON!

After installation impossible to start the ftp. I check the box and after clicking on apply the box is unchecked and connection refused with all ftp software.
Re: TOS 4.2.17 is released for update!
Updated to version 4.2.17 and the fans stopped responding to switching modes.
I have tried Smart, Medium, Low, High mode the speed always remains 590RPM. Hard drives are heated above 50C. It is impossible to write something on them. The temperature rises very quickly and I begin to fear for the safety of my disks and the information that is stored there! It's just awful!!!
I turned off this NAS. When will you solve this problem? Cooling is one of the main functions of the server and it does NOT WORK!!!
