You can go to the control panel to enable the UPnP discovery service.

Why remove BTRFS? It worked great, I NEVER had any problems with BTRFS, either on my NAS or my computer. I might download the previous update and install that - BTRFS is so much better than EXT4.

If you enable UPnP, you should be aware that security concerns do exist. Here is a security tip from https://www.cisa.gov/tips/st15-002 dated February 21, 2021. I disable UPnP.
  • Disable Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) when not needed. UPnP is a handy feature that allows networked devices to seamlessly discover and establish communication with each other on the network. However, though the UPnP feature eases initial network configuration, it is also a security risk. Recent large-scale network attacks prove that malware within your network can use UPnP to bypass your router’s firewall, allow attackers to take control of your devices remotely, and spread malware to other devices. You should therefore disable UPnP unless you have a specific need for it.

HTTPS port reset to 5443 default value
SMB/CIFS workgroup reset
AFP Renabled
RSYNC server information reset
SSH Access reset
We will improve this issue in the next release. However, to completely solve this problem needs to wait until the next generation of TOS. We will release the brand new TOS 5 shortly.

Another evening lost after upgrading from 4.2.06 to 4.2.13. Had to Reset to factory default and restart from scratch since Docker (namely the containers) completely stopped working.

Long story short the root user previously used to log into the NAS via SSH, got disabled / removed / whatever in the meanwhile and so the previous working docker / containers became inaccessible to the "default" admin user...

This is a totally unnecessary burden for any user.

Should have upgraded to every single version between 4.2.06 and 4.2.13 to mitigate the root user issue? I don't think so since there is no information or warning in the forum nor during the upgrade process.

I know there should be a better way to manage the quality of every build and upgrade process.

I am so sorry to hear that! As the kernel has been updated and root user permission has been removed, so...

Is changing back to a previous firmware a viable solution to get BTRFS back?

BTW enabling UPNP made no difference either....

It actually could be a windows update causing this because one of my machines with windows 10 home can see it but the windows 10 pro ones now can't so I'm putting it down to a windows issue.
