The photo library beta version may be released for testing in about two weeks.

I updated from a 3x version to 4.2.06 on F2-220. Everything except SMB and AFP seem to be working well.

Mounts on Catalina, and now Mac Big Sur are acting weird. I can't figure it out, but even with the NAS set to never sleep, my shares disappear (even with a mounter watcher tool) and I can't connect to the NAS through finder after a time. I can ping the NAS, and even SSH into it, but it can't be accessed through finder. The only solution to get the NAS and shares to show up through finder again is by rebooting the NAS (so far, about 3 times a day).

After reboot, it keeps prompting for my password. I cannot connect as a registered user, either with the ID/password I set up for myself, or with the admin/<pw> combo. Even after removing a user, and creating a new user with username/password, after each reboot password is not accepted. Admin is also not accepted.

Further info:

Running "smbutil statshares -a" on client shows shares mounted under user_ID 501.

Running "cat /etc/passwd" on client shows no 501.

Running "cat /etc/passwd" when SSHed into NAS shows no 501.

Since the update system spans multiple versions, there are problems with the system. Please refer to this link (viewtopic.php?f=75&t=921) to re-install TOS system according to your initboot version number.Since 4.2.06 has not been promoted, please upgrade to 4.1.31 before upgrading 4.2.06, please refer to this link: viewtopic.php?f=28&t=1097

Another question only just noticed this:
This update is not suitable for TOS 4.2.X beta.

So this update cannot be used if your running any of the beta versions? so what do you do if you want to update??

We will release the installation package After a while.It's estimated to be half a month.

I am waiting for the update that will support the 4.2.05 beta.... how long till that comes out?

Good day, is version 4.2.06 an official stable release now or do I have to consider it as a beta version? I'm asking because it's not shown as an update from within my TNAS (F4-210) and I don't want to switch to a beta release. Thanks in advance.
