Re: TOS4.2.08 is released for updating!
No issues with manual update on my F5-221. Here are some notes that I made post-upgrade.
Noted Issues:
- Needed to disable telnet again. Somehow, the configuration state of these services is not retained after upgrade (also noted by at least one other TM user).
- Notification options have not changed as shown in the screenshot in the release article at https://www.terra-master.com/global/tos/. I was hoping for more email alerts for things such as root login, high temperature, high CPU etc.
Positive feedback:
- Docker container was running without need for manual intervention after upgrade/reboot this time.
- No issues with Plex. Media library was in tact without issue.
- USB Copy job configuration was not overwritten, and jobs working as expected.
- OneDrive and Google Drive sync working as expected.
- Nextcloud still working as expected after OS update.
Thanks.

Re: TOS4.2.08 is released for updating!
Hi,
I've just updated/reinstalled my F2-210 to TOS 4.2.08.
Now I'm unable to activate Bonjour or Time Machine through the web interface.
If I try to active Bonjour, the checkbox sets itself back to be unchecked and /var/log/messages reports:
The log seems points to a missing nss-mdns.so. There also seems to be an issue with dbus:
The AFPD itself is working correctly.
Any hints?
Thanks you!

Re: TOS4.2.08 is released for updating!
I've had this same problem as well unfortunately, but I prefer having the ability to use snapshot so I've just put up with it, but hopefully they can fix itjoeh wrote: ↑14 Jan 2021, 11:59I personally had slower transfer speeds with btrfs. They would fluctuate from 100MB/s down to 0MB/s for anything (media files) I copied over to the NAS using SMB. My speeds fluctuate with etx4, but the lowest it's dropped has been to 60MB/s.DiscoSi wrote: ↑13 Jan 2021, 22:51Hi @TMSupport
I'm interested to know why the default file system has been moved to EXT4? Is there any plan to drop BTRFS support in future or are there unknown instabilities or performance bottlenecks with BTRFS that we should be aware of?
It seems like a surprising move considering that BTRFS is a heavily promoted selling point of the NAS devices you provide?
Regards,
DiscoSi
Whenever the speeds reach 0, I always check the active processes on the NAS and it doesn't always show up, but sometimes btrfs-transacti shows up and shows literally 90-100% CPU usage, but it isn't reflected on the CPU usage monitor...
Hopefully these guys can fix their btrfs implementation

Re: TOS4.2.08 is released for updating!
Write speed reduced to ~140MB/s from ~500MB/s when using 4.2.07-2011241531. This is on a 10gbs link from a Windows 10PC. Read speeds are the same, at ~650MB/s.

Re: TOS4.2.08 is released for updating!
F2-210 and F4-210 updates from 4.2.07 to 4.2.08 worked flawlessly. All services I use and test on both models work without incident as well.
Thank you!
